Imagining a glimmering crescent moon in the night sky, our Emilie Shapiro Crescent Pendant features rough rose quartz embedded in brass, anchored on our signature brass chain with a handmade clasp. Growing up near the Atlantic Ocean, water has always been Emilie's constant inspiration. Coming from a family of creative entrepreneurs, inventors, and free spirits, she has explored different artistic mediums throughout her life. Employing the ancient craft of lost wax casting, derived from the Egyptians, Emilie carved sculptural pieces into hard wax and cast them into metal. She incorporates rough gemstones as a tribute to the natural beauty of imperfection. All production and resources are locally sourced, and each piece is carefully handcrafted in Emilie's studio in New York City. She resides in Astoria, Queens with her husband, son, and two cats. In her free time, Emilie tends to her garden, knits, and obsesses over her plants.
