2/12/19 Valentine's Day Card Making Workshop - Watercolors & Ink

$40
Join Erin Ellis on Tuesday, February 12th for a special *all levels* Valentine's Day hand-painted card workshop.

Working in a warm color palette of pinks, corals, and reds, we will explore techniques in laying down color with watercolor and ink. The workshop will include guided exercises and experiments with brush control, mark making, and color. We will move on to create a set of simple designs on folded, watercolor weight cards and envelopes. Focus will be on using mindful mark making to create beautiful shapes while embracing the unpredictable nature of watercolor. You will walk away with a set of ten painted cards + envelopes, ready to be inscribed with words, for your loved ones (to mail, gift, frame, etc!) and a handful of creative techniques that can be applied beyond card making.

For this workshop all you will need to bring is your creative sprirt and openness to explore. It could also be fun for small groups to sign up individually and create in the same space. All supplies will be provided and no experience and/or artistic skill is necessary, though a willingness to explore your own creative abilities without judgement is encouraged.

While the inspiration and color palette for these cards are inspired by Valentine's Day, these cards can be used as art or sent at any time of the year to express your love and fondness for partners, friends and family.
