5/6/19 Spring Floral Painting Workshop with Erin Ellis
Join Erin Ellis on May 6th at 6:30pm for a special *all levels* Springtime Floral Painting Workshop.
In this workshop, we will paint from cut flower bouquets using watercolor inks. Through a series of simple techniques for seeing and mark making, we will work toward rendering a complete floral composition on watercolor paper. By making intentional marks with brush and water, then adding color via eyedropper, our goal will be to learn how the media behaves so that we may embrace and utilize its’ wild, unpredictable nature, as flowers themselves are so vibrant and expressive. The series of exercises will culminate into at least one fully realized 11 x 14 painting on textured cotton watercolor paper.
This could be a lovely shared experience to explore creatively with your own Mother, a mama you love, or any friend or loved one who enjoys flowers.
All skill levels are welcome. Please arrive with a willingness to explore your own creative abilities and expectations in a mindful and gentle way.
