Our First Birthday Celebration

The idea of Little Moon + Arrow was dreamt up as Chelsea Pearce was about to give birth to her first child. It started as a collection in the back of Moon + Arrow, the brick and mortar shop, and our big sister store, that Chelsea opened and has owned for six years on Fabric Row in the Queen Village neighborhood of Philadelphia.

The collection grew, a beautiful sunny corner spot opened up and on August 25th, 2017, Chelsea moved the collection to its own space. Little Moon + Arrow, while a blossoming online children's boutique, serves the socially-conscious community of Philadelphia on 4th street, steps away from Moon + Arrow.

We spent a fruitful year establishing Little Moon + Arrow with the Queens Village community, have made many friends and enjoyed hosting an array of artisans, makers, and teachers in our little space for music classes, readings, handwork and fun events for all our little neighbors. 

For our first birthday party, we wanted to create a special event for our community to celebrate with us. We partnered with local artist Lauren West to create a beautifully whimsical window display with accompanying screen printed tees! We had local favorite ice cream artisans Little Baby’s at the shop providing our guests with a sweet treat. We enjoyed a day full of laughter and joy celebrating our very first birthday with all of the people that made the last year possible, who we are so grateful for.
