We Love Local

At Moon+Arrow, community has never been an abstract idea. It’s been a neighbor stopping in on their lunch break. A maker dropping off work with clay still on their sleeves. A conversation that starts with a purchase and turns a connection.

That's why this year we are launching a new initiative we're affectionally calling, We Love Local. This isn’t about chasing trends or labels. It’s about proximity and care, bringing in the work of new friends, neighbors, artisans you've never seen before. It is about choosing to invest in people whose work that is unknown, whose stories we can listen to, whose impact we can feel in real time. Local doesn’t mean small, it means rooted. It means connected. It means we want our community to invest in one another, not Amazon, not big box stores, not conglomerates.

In a time when we all feel really far a part from each other in so many ways we want to be a part of bridging that gap. Supporting local is not a one-time decision. It’s a practice. A habit. A way of moving through the world with a little more intention. It's about going down the street to buy your envelope, choosing a family-owned hardware store, asking a friend to help you repair a sweater. We want to live in a world that supports and cares for one another so we're starting here, now by inviting more local artisans into our space and a part of our story.

We’re grateful to be part of a neighborhood that so fully supports small business and a wider creative ecosystem in Philadelphia that continues to show up for one another. We’re proud to offer our space as a small platform for these voices. And we’re excited to bring you along as this initiative unfolds.

This is We Love Local.
We’re so glad you’re here.

Our first local maker dropped off their work today, we are so excited to welcome Friend of All glass. Our first We Love Local feature feels especially fitting, because it begins with light. At the center of this Philadelphia studio is a small crew of dedicated artists, handcrafting each stained glass lamp and panel with care, intention, and a deep love for material and light.

The founder, Flannery Cronin, believes that light and color are among the most powerful tools you can use to turn a house into a home. This isn’t just design philosophy; it’s the reason she began working with stained glass in the first place, and what guides every lamp that leaves the studio. There’s a tenderness in their work that goes beyond craft. These pieces are made by hand, hours upon hours of thoughtful cutting, fitting, soldering, and polishing, only to go on and light rooms across the world.
