These Alpaca Cable Knit Socks are exquisitely crafted on a classic double-cylinder knitting machine using only the finest 100% alpaca. Our luxurious alpaca yarn is undyed and imported directly from the source in Peru. Alpaca hair is a particularly unique fiber, consisting of a hollow center that holds moisture and traps heat, yet resists pilling. Unfortunately, the number of naturally dark-colored alpacas is decreasing due to the popularity of dyeing white alpacas. Yet, the ability to produce beautiful, vivid shades without the need for dyes makes colored alpacas one of the most sustainable materials.
