Moon+Arrow is thrilled to welcome back photographer CJ Harker for a weekend of stunning tintype portraits! For those new to tintypes, these unique portraits, popular in the mid-19th century, were cherished for their quick creation and lasting durability. Crafted on metal plates, tintypes became a keepsake tradition during the Civil War, capturing the essence of everyday people with their gritty textures and sharp details—making them a fascinating piece of photographic history.
CJ has beautifully photographed couples, individuals, and families at Moon+Arrow for years, and his tintype sessions have become a holiday favorite. These portraits make the perfect heirloom gift for family, friends, or even yourself!
Secure your 20-minute session to reserve your portrait. Signing up in advance is preferred to ensure CJ has enough materials ready. You'll receive a physical 5x7" portrait (available for pick-up a week after the event) along with a professional digital scan sent to your email.
