5/2/26 Sun Printing Workshop
Workshop attendees will be guided by local artist Lauren Fiasconaro to create their own sun print(s). No experience needed - just come with creativity and enthusiasm! Feel free to bring a small, flat object with an interesting shape to try printing with. Flowers, leaves or other plant matter work great! Otherwise, all materials will be provided.
Sun Printing, aka cyanotype, is an old form of photography which uses sunlight, iron salts and water to create a photographic print. It dates back to the 1850s and is characterized by a unique prussian blue color.
The event is weather dependent (we need at least some sunlight!) and could be cancelled due to rain. An update will be sent via email on Friday May 1 if it is cancelled and refunds will be issued.
